Adrian and I need your ideas. The Mothership

As you've seen, he and I have different styles when it comes to making photos. Currently, I tend to gravitate to the more dramatic and my shooting is more photo-journalistic in approach. Adrian's shots are closer to technical perfection than mine. His studio work is outstanding and he has more patience and talent in shooting children than I do. As we collaborate on projects over time, I expect that our styles will coalesce somewhat. We'll see.

Anyway, we've decided to get you involved in our photography. We need you to challenge us.

Join our facebook fan page here. Every week or two (as our schedules permit) we will present you with images based on themes that you suggest. The rules are fairly simple. We'll ask for suggestions, you'll suggest a word or phrase that will be the theme for the photo challenge, then Adrian and I will independently work on something that we feel "fits" your theme.

The game is already afoot and we've got two themes in the queue...

Happy New Year everyone!

Viv and I spent the last week in December in Antigua. We stayed at the Sandals resort there and enjoyed an extremely relaxing vacation. I have to say that although the vacation was relaxing, it was less "satisfying" than our trip to the Galapagos Islands. Adventure travel is definitely more rewarding than lazing around all day. Personally, though, I need both types of vacations.

From a photographic perspective, resort travel becomes visually boring quite quickly. Beaches start looking the same -- and so do we. We show up in pictures with the same t-shirts and swimwear. Because taking unique photos at a resort becomes exceedingly difficult the more we travel, I return home with less each time.

Check out my Antigua set below.

Stay tuned for more travel photos this year. On the agenda: Turks and Caicos in May then the Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, and the Amazon (God willing) in the late summer.
